The Blue Light Run of the Fire Department Schwaan is an exciting relay race covering approximately 46 kilometers through the Schwaan district, passing by all the fire departments in the region. The route leads from Schwaan through Benitz, Groß Grenz, Letschow, Vorbeck, Werle, Rukieten, and Wiendorf back to Schwaan. About 30% of the course is asphalt, while the rest consists of paved forest and field paths. The transportation of the relay runners is managed by the fire departments in the district.
